TLP P&I Course Lesson 2 Block 5: Stakeholder Reporting Hierarchy

Block Description

Learners understand the stakeholder hierarchy and who reports to whom in this hieracrchy.

Step 3: Set Expectations (2 min)

In this block, we are going to see how the the school leadership, staff leaders and student leaders come together to ensure the school is running effectively, with no student’s needs left behind.

Step 4 Description

  • Learners go through the stakeholder hierarchy chart and discuss it

Step 4 Content

Observe the role hierarchy chart above and answer the following questions: 

  • Does this match the responsibilities that you learned about in the last 4 blocks? 
  • Who all are in charge of student behavior and wellbeing? 
  • Who all are in charge of ensuring all students actively participate in the house system?
  • Who all are in charge of ensuring student learning and performance in exams?
  • Who all reports to the principal?
  • Whom does the principal report to?
  • Who all reports to the assistant director?
  • Information from the assistant director goes to who all?

Step 5 Description

  • Learners rework their Lesson 2 homework and finalize the training they have to conduct for the leaders reporting to them
  • Learners rework their Lesson 2 finalize their weekly, fortnightly and monthly meetings with all the leaders reporting to them 

Step 5 Content

Now that you know who all you need to follow up on, you have to complete the following activity: 

  • Principals: Finalise the schedule for training all the leaders who report to you, except for subject teachers and coordinators. As much as possible, ensure that the teacher and student leaders are both present for the training. We will be training you on how to train the leaders by October 26th. 
  • Principals: Decide on how much ownership you can give to your teacher leaders. A good leader always creates more leaders. 
  • Principals: Discuss and finalize the weekly/fortnightly/monthly meetings you need to have with the teacher/student leaders in order to follow up on their responsibilities. 
  • Asst. Director: Finalise and schedule all the meetings required to fulfill your responsibilities. 

You have half an hour to do this. 

Lesson Homework

Principal: Each of you have to send an email to your assistant director and director, with a detailed list of your responsibilities, the leaders who report to you, and your training and regular meeting schedules. 

Asst. Dir: You have to send an email to your director, with a detailed list of your responsibilities, the leaders who report to you, and your training and regular meeting schedules.
