What did we do in the last block? (We read and understood the “Goodnight Tinku” story.
Can anyone share the story? (Take various volunteers)

Step 3: Set Expectations (2 min)
In this block, we are going to understand and write down the difficult words from the story!

Take out your notebooks and follow my instructions:
On the top, write the name of the story “Goodnight Tinku” , and write the author’s name, “Preethi Nambiyar”.

I will say some of the difficult words in the story, and we will discuss their meaning. Once we discuss the meaning, you have to write the word in your notebook. Write the words one below the other. There are 17 words, so we have to be quick!

1 – Bright.
What does this word mean? (Something that is shining or full of light.)

2 – Moonlit
What does this word mean? (lit by the moonlight)

What does this word mean? (to speak softly or in a low voice)

What does this word mean? (to adjust yourself and get into a warm, comfortable position)
When it is very cold in winters, have you ever adjusted your bedsheet and the way you sleep until you feel very warm and comfortable? That is called snuggling!

What does this word mean? (Nocturnal animals work, eat and play during the night, and rest during the day)
